The Heckscher Museum of Art
The Heckscher Museum of Art was founded in 1920 by August Heckscher, industrialist, philanthropist, and resident of Huntington, New York. The
Museum includes 185 works of art from Heckschers own collection of European
and American paintings, sculptures, and works on paper dating from the
Renaissance period to 1920. Today, the Heckscher houses more than 2,000 European and American paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from the
Renaissance to the present day. The Museum is located in Heckscher Park, Main Street (Route 25A) and Prime Avenue in Huntington Village. Suggested
admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors/students, and $1 for children. The Heckscher is accessible for the handicapped. For more information,
